Gemini by Gabi Xavier
November is quite a turn up in this helluva confusing year. It has been a crazy one for me and it might have played the same tricks to some of my fellow Gemini’s out there. But lo and behold! The end is near! The end to our confusion and hapless trials and errors ending up in fruitless endeavors are now over. Thanks to Jupiter finally settling in Scorpio this season, we have the ultimate chance to gain clarity over the major issues we’ve been mindlessly trying to decipher. Issues that include those of health, ambition and (oh yes) relationships will definitely reveal answers and evoke some peace of mind.
It’s true that for most Geminis, the thrill of getting shit together comes only temporarily. With that said, what other perfect season to get to it than this November? Say goodbye to procrastinating and endless Netflix bingewatching. It’s time to get our heads together and work some magical shit because this opportunity is golden. The way this year has been clicking on the green and red lights simultaneously in our crossroads, (getting us nowhere and possibly everywhere at the same time) we now have a clear GREEN, and it would be such a loss if we’d just shrug it off.
Here’s an excerpt from Astrostyle‘s monthly reading for Gemini.
Taking care of business! That’s what the stars have in store for you during this super-productive cycle. The Sun is in Scorpio until November 21, heating up your sixth house of efficiency, health and fitness. While the rest of the world is Googling the best hot toddy recipes and winding down the year, you’re tossing organic greens into the Vitamix and doubling down on your goals. Hey, that’s how Geminis like to roll. When everyone else goes left, you go right!
You’ve got some extra wind powering those efficient sails because expansive Jupiter has settled into Scorpio for the next 12 months. You could become a true wellness geek during this cycle. If you already are one, maybe you’ll become a more passionate and outspoken advocate for sustainable living and healthy practices. This Jupiter cycle will also change your work, whether you adopt new lifehacks, find a brand-new job or finally appreciate the power of delegating.
This month, you could start taking dedicated steps in that direction (and maybe even tracking them on your Fitbit). The November 18 Scorpio new moon kicks off a six-month cycle for healthy living. We know, just in time for the holidays…but who says you can’t come up with creative ways to feast that don’t send you into a tryptophan or carb coma. Put that inventive Gemini mind to work! The sixth house rules service, and with Jupiter here, there’s no better year than 2017 to combine your holiday-giving with volunteer work and charity donations in friends’ and family’s names.
One heart-opening moment that could be PERFECT for that arrives on November 4, when the Taurus full moon illuminates your twelfth house of healing, compassion and rest. Get involved with a cause you care about. Maybe you join a benefit committee, plan a holiday fundraiser party or bring people together to do good. As the saying goes, charity begins in the home. With this full moon’s focus on forgiveness, maybe it’s time to release a grudge and step into someone else’s shoes if you’ve been judging them.
Full moons emphasize endings and transitions: One phase completes so that a new chapter can open. And, with a full moon in the final twelfth house, closure is an especially big theme today. If you weathered a loss or heartbreak in 2017, make peace with that. If you’re gripping tightly to a situation you can’t control, wave the white flag and surrender. Take the path of least resistance instead of swimming upstream.
You’ll get back in sync after November 21, when the Sun enters your opposite sign of Sagittarius, putting the emphasis on partnership for a month. Restore harmony to relationships that have tipped out of balance. Spend time with your closest people, especially after such a busy and work-focused month. Explore opportunities to partner up for a win-win.
The fog also lifts around your career path. On November 22, dreamy Neptune ends a confusing retrograde in Pisces and your tenth house of ambition that began on June 16. For the past five months, you may have been chasing rainbows but not finding any pots of gold at the end of them. You tried a lot of paths, but it was hard to gain traction, or even feel certain you were headed in the right direction. Now your seemingly random soul-searching could start to make sense—and soon, to pay off. As JRR Tolkien wrote, “Not all who wander are lost.” So don’t assume that your valiant efforts were in vain!
We’ve had our fun gallivanting around an unfamiliar trail this year, but thank God all that’s behind us (at least for this month) so without further ado, here are my tips in making the most of November.
Get a Fitness Workout Plan
Getting in shape is a great way to kickstart this ‘Getting Shit Together’ party. Don’t just start hitting a gym or throwing cash at a cute gym instructor. Create your own fitness workout plan that is tailored to your own schedule this November. If you have no idea where to start, you can check out Pinterest for some exercise prompts as well as fitspirations and quotes.
I also recommended you check out Cassey Ho’s Beginner’s 2.0 Calendar just to get an idea, and while you’re at it, subscribe to Blogilates’ monthly newsletter to get a monthly fitness calendar sent straight to your mail. I love Blogilates. I’ve been working out to her videos since 2015. I’ve always been sore after her videos but I definitely feel stronger. It’s addictive, especially her workout challenges where you have to do crunches or squats or planks to a whole song. It’s crazy and fun, but it works! While you’re at it, she also has a new line of workout goodies called Popflex, which you should definitely get your hands on.
Clear off your backburner tasks
Oh yes, they’ve been lying around in your list of “Things to do when I get around to it”. This November, it’s time to clear off your schedule to take down all your backburner tasks one at a time.
To be honest, re-launching this half-baked blog of mine was one of the things in my backburner (and I have a ton shoved in there). I seriously thought I could get over my issues within a month or two. Unfortunately, 7 months later, here we are. But all is great since I did it anyway. I’ve been gradually revisiting my old blogging world these past few days starting off with reading (and editing) my old posts, adding old blogger friends in my new Facebook account, and writing my heart out. It has been great so far!
I’m aware that as Gemini women, we have the tendency to keep saying “Yes” to everything, overestimating our capabilities and time management skills, only to end up with some tasks halfway finished and most left in the To-do List. We’re natural born clutter brains. And while it may be possible that as we clear out our backburner, we’ll eventually end up adding a heap ton of new tasks to it, sure enough there will be another time to get around to that (uhm, wink).
Have a No Slacking Off Policy this month
Granted that your backburner tasks are quite a handful, and your current tasks at hand are gradually piling up, there’s really no time to slack off, Gemini. Put your calendar and alarms to work. Start actually planning your day instead of just doing whatever you feel like doing.
It’s Christmas gift giving time!
Geminis have a knack for getting involved in special causes, charities and social service. A month before the Christmas season is all we need to plan the perfect gift giving party.
You can start packing your old clothes, books and toys, and donate them to several charitable organizations. Spot.ph has got you covered with a list of organizations to donate your second hand items to. I’m an atheist but I’m aware that a lot of Christian organizations here in Manila welcome volunteers for their holiday gift giving parties. It doesn’t matter if you’re broke. They always have a budget for it. They’re just welcoming volunteers to help out. I’m actually planning to help out two of my aunts from different Christian churches this Christmas.
You don’t really have to be part of a group to volunteer. Just go ahead and do it. It will be worth your while.
Let things go and be open to changes
2017 has been harsh for some of us. In order to move on with our lives, we needed to let go of some people, events and some parts of our selves. It’s all part of the transition. We may not fully get rid of those regretful or guilty feelings that literally transformed us, but in this Jupiter season, as soon as we achieve clarity, there will be closure–a time to forgive and let go.
As soon as you allow those doors to close, new and exciting things will soon be coming your way. Do not let the burden of your past hinder your zest for something new. If you’ve been toying around with your tarot, you may have noticed that your final card (The Outcome) will always indicate that change is on its way, and it’s golden. In order for it to work its magic in your life, you have to be open to it. Trust and good shit is bound to happen.
