Hi everyone! How are you all doing? I hope everyone’s feeling that special Christmas glow that comes not from the gifts you receive but from the happiness that family, gratitude and love bring this holiday season.I for one am feeling a bit meh because as an adult, I don’t get to enjoy the Christmas traditions as much as when I was a kid. And I cried a lot watching old Christmas movies in my room. I love Christmas so much that I couldn’t help but be a little touchy-feely this season. The thought of Christmas, Santa Claus, reindeers and elves brings a lot of nostalgia and a child-like sense of wonder that it pierces my heart whenever I realize I do not belong to that age bracket anymore.
Our family’s not really the type to go overboard with Christmas anything, especially these times when we’re settling with practicality over sentimentality. With just a simple indoor decoration and a humble noche buena menu for three, we celebrated Christmas with a sense of frugality. I’m also happy and proud because my mom and I finished 9 days of misa de gallo, which I haven’t attended for ages.
2015 has brushed by so fast it gives me the chills.
Before I do a rundown of my life in 2015, I would like to do a year ender for my WeHeartIt collection. It has been a really effective therapy for me to start my day browsing and liking photos that make me smile. It inspires me and at the same time it fills me up with positive thoughts throughout the day.
